Payasam tastes different from a pana.
Thick-walled and heavy, the pana holds heat and lets rice, payasam and curries cook slowly and evenly, the way they were cooked for a sadya generations ago. It is the pot a Kerala kitchen is built around.
Use it for festival payasam, everyday rice, or as a serving centrepiece that gets better with age.
- Slow, even heat for deep flavour
- Built to last a lifetime of cooking
- Medium for the family, large for the feast
